DENSE @ EUCAR annual Reception and Conference

DENSE joined the European Council for Automotive R&D (EUCAR) annual Reception and Conference on November 6 and 7 in Brussels, Belgium. This year, more than three hundred stakeholders from governmental institutions, auto manufacturers, researchers and suppliers took part in the event and debated on the future of urban mobility.

Among other projects, DENSE was presented and introduced to a high level audience at the reception and to a wider audience at the conference, giving insights to the project’s findings and first results. The discussions about the opportunities and challenges of tomorrow’s mobility among the researchers, manufacturers and suppliers made it clear, that automated driving by now is viewed as one of the key technologies of the coming decades.

A new study by the European Patent Office and EUCAR that was released just before the event shows that Europe is leading the competition in a fast growing field with almost 40% of all patent applications related to the field of self-driving vehicle technology.
