Developers, researchers, regulators and infrastructure constructors gathered in Olos, Finnish Lapland in January 2018 to discuss on testing of automated transport solutions in severe weather conditions. DENSE project was represented at the first Aurora Summit by project partner VTT, who showcased a demo vehicle at the event. VTT’s test vehicle, named Martti, performed about 60 test drives in snowy weather using the technology developed in DENSE project and gathering additional date while doing so.
The successful Event gathered over 300 participants, including media representatives. It gave an excellent opportunity to network and to discuss on intelligent transport that works safely and securely in all conditions and was widely covered on national Finnish media and abroad.
